I'm back from the long awaited trip and it's probably the most memorable trip ever. Here goes...
25th February 2008
Scheduled to depart from Bus Terminal at Lavender Street at 9pm, so dinner first. For a few hours, the four of us were the only passengers on the bus because more people will only board the bus at JB. Anyway, after the custom, i was already drifting in and out of my sleep.
26th February 2008
Only managed to reach Terrenganu terminal at 8am which means we were late for the bus transfer and this began our road trip. Ha! Cos apart from being at redang, we were generally on our own - risking our lifes! Managed to reach the Jetty way ahead of time, thanks to the daring illegal driver.
at the jettyUpon reaching the jetty at Redang, we were ushered to this waiting hall for a short briefing followed by a 'tram' ride to the resort lobby. Got the keys to our rooms to wash up before lunch. Yay!

the basin area. hairdryer is love!

the building on the right is a 'rundown' resort

Snorkelling was scheduled at 230pm but, briefing only begin at 3. ARG! I must say that snorkelling is fun. Even though the life jacket keep giving me problem, the salty water get into my mouth, my nose and not forgetting the fact that i'm afraid of water. Had close contact with the fishes as we took some bread (that were floating on the surface) to lure them.
back to the resort to wash up and off we go for a walk near the beach.

the clear water
it's getting cloudy though
After dinner, we went back to the beach hoping to find little sea creatures on the shore - equipped with sianglung's barely useful torchlight. The wind was strong and the waves was greater than those during the day. But, we were rewarded with a sky filled with stars. A starry night indeed.
Back in the room, the guys were playing cards and drinking while my eyes were stuck to the television. Turn in pretty early - about 11pm.
27th February 2008
Hoping the catch a glimpse of the sun rise, dear and i went to the beach at about 7.00am - late sun rise, i like.

After breakfast, it was snorkelling at the Marine Park where fishes are not afraid of humans. Ha! The fishes are everywhere and the corals are beautiful. The fishes love us because we had breads for them!
Didn't go for the snorkelling trip in the afternoon and went to explore the whole stretch of beach.

After breakfast and packing up, it was time for us to check out and take the jetty back to Terrenganu but... there was no ferry!!! The waves was too strong and dangerous for the ferry and so, we had a complimentary night stay coupled with the next 3 meals. sounds good huh? But it was quite a bore at the resort cos it was raining!!!

after breakfast, we had to wait for instruction whether there will be ferries that day. We almost lost all hopes until we saw people bringing their luggages to the lobby. Made our way to the lobby to check the situation, and we were informed that... there will be a ferry!!!
Anyway, while waiting for the good news...
we made card pyramid!
