My heart struggles

Lately, my boyfriend really surprise me. Not in the sense that he spring a surprise on me but the things that he said. He says it's okay to buy Lumix LX3, which cost freaking $689!



Taking a closer look at it. Stunning?

But, given the fact that it is 200 bucks more than my initial want and it's ability to produce much better in manual mode, will I end up under-utilizing it after spending more for a "better" camera? And what is it about removable lens cap? Very DSLR huh?

I must admit that it is a compact camera functioning way beyond it should be but, do I really need something this good?
