Day 3 @ Phuket IslandRented a jeep to travel around Phuket Island on our own at 800baht (CHEAP!) They didn't even check for relevant documentation like driving license. I'm not saying that it's a good thing just that, it's easy to rent a vehicle out there. With my oh-so-good navigation skills and his rusty driving skills, we went to conquer Phuket Island. Daring indeed.

Waiting for our jeep =)

think we were looking for a petrol kiosk. S T R E S S . . .

driving along one of the beaches
going downhill - really awesome view at some point

Went to Ton-Sai Waterfall (at some national park of theirs) after random driving around.
no map, nothing at all --> LOST

totally not dressed for the occasion.

teeny weeny bit of the waterfall we managed to capture

with our jeep =)

<3

off we go!

super hot and sweaty after "trekking"

LUNCH - wished I did more research on Phuket Town so that we didn't have to dine at KFC. Singapore's KFC is much nicer but they serve awesome Ice Coffee - damn sweet (I like!)

Drive back to Patong to book our Day 5 ATV and took a stroll around the area again...

Shopping mall we love

On the road again... Cannot waste the petrol cos we top up ALOT.

Wat Chalong

Next up: Big Buddha on the top of the big hill/small mountain.

View from up above.

Building in progress though already magnificent.

We could actually see the statue from Kata area if we look closely. It's that high up and that big.
Drove about 2-3 minutes to a restaurant on the hill for dinner and to catch the awesome sunset. Such a beautiful way to end the day. Thought that the meal would cost us a bomb because of it's superb strategic location but no. It's in fact one of our cheapest meal but the food is alittle too salty.
the sun is setting...
